Meredith Nimz Piazza, MSW, GSW, received her B.A. in Human Development (Psychology and Sociology) from Tulane University and her Masters degree in Social Work (MSW), with an emphasis in clinical social work with children, from Catholic University in Washington, DC.  Ms. Piazza moved from Washington, DC to Baton Rouge in August 2006 and has been with Family Focus since September 2006.

Ms. Piazza currently provides individual and family therapy to children and their families, ages 0-25.  Her graduate training also included a focus in infant mental health.  Ms. Piazza has continued this post graduate training in Baton Rouge.  She has presented on child development and infant mental health to school educators and social workers with the Office of Community Services.

Ms. Piazza is also employed by the Infant, Child, and Family Center, a satellite clinic of Capital Area Human Services District where she works with infant and toddlers and their families.
