Psychiatric Evaluations

Psychiatric evaluations consist of an assessment of symptoms via interview and/or screening tools, obtaining a personal mental health history along with family and medical history, formulating a diagnosis, providing medication intervention, and giving extensive patient education. Evaluations will be done initially and on an ongoing basis. Patients will be involved in the decision making process when determining a plan of care while being treated in a holistic manner. Evaluations help to determine whether there is Depression, Other Mood Disorders, Anxiety, ADHD, Learning Disorders, Personality Disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Autism, and a whole host of other diagnostic possibilities. In doing so, we are more informed regarding the best treatment options available to us.
