Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy works well for children, teenagers and adults. It shows us how our thoughts influence our feelings and behaviors, and gives us the tools for changing those thoughts. CBT is effective in treating anxiety, depression, issues with self esteem and relationships, and much more.

This form of therapy is usually short term. You work with your therapist to recognize distortions in your thinking and understand how these distortions create problems in your life, and then you reevaluate your thoughts without the distortions.

You also learn how to handle difficult situations, become more confident in your personal abilities, and boost your own mood through prosocial behaviors.
